PUMA is the official partner of TTOC

Sportwear giant PUMA is now the official partner of the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC).

According to a statement from TTOC, effective January 1, 2017, PUMA is partner of not only the TTOC itself but the Trinidad and Tobago Commonwealth Games Association (TTCGA) and Team Trinidad and Tobago (Team TTO) for podium, lifestyle, training, competition and presentation wear.

TTOC added that their partnership with ADIDAS had come to an end on December 31, 2016.

"The TTOC has had a long-standing relationship with ADIDAS, the high water mark was a well received Rio 2016 podlong-standing wear, presentation and competition wear collection that generated significant positive social media buzz and heightened merchandise replica demand by the Trinidad and Tobago public.

Over the years ADIDAS has supported the TTOC with unwavering dedication. Including TTOC initiatives such as the 10Golds24 Team TTO Marathon Walk fund raiser for Athlete development, welfare and preparation, Olympic Academy and Olympic Youth Camp and Long term athlete development program.

ADIDAS also supported the TTOC market driven merchandising and licensing strategy. The decision to not renew the Adidas/TTOC partnership was amicable and agreed. "The TTOC thanks Adidas for a wonderful relationship and close partnership . Over the years friendships developed in an environment of mutual respect."

The TTOC /PUMA agreement is for an initial four year period through the Tokyo 2020 Olympic cycle.

The TTOC expressed that it was looking forward to working with PUMA to achieve agreed strategic objectives."

"The TTOC is confident that its athlete-centred, market-driven and service based approach, values, culture and ambitious 10 Golds2024 high-performance focus will allow the TTOC and Team TTO to align with PUMA's brand values, positioning and strategic business objectives."
