Media Accreditation Opens For World Rugby U20 Championship In Georgia

Media Accreditation Opens For World Rugby U20 Championship In Georgia

Members of the media wishing to attend the World Rugby U20 Championship in Georgia can now apply for accreditation to the event.

The competition, which runs from 31 May to 18 June in Tbilisi and Kutaisi, will see the pool stages played on 31 May, 4 and 8 June, with the semi-finals on 13 June and final on 18 June in Tbilisi.

Accreditation will remain open for media organisations until Saturday, 20 May. Media will be accredited with a tournament pass to enable them to cover all venues over the five match days. Journalists and photographers will be asked to advise the Georgian Rugby Union communications team on which fixtures they intend to cover, once tournament passes have been confirmed.

The official World Rugby U20 Championship media launch, featuring team captains and World Rugby and GRU representatives will take place on Saturday, 27 May in Kutaisi for Pool B teams (New Zealand, Scotland, Ireland, Italy) and Saturday, 28 May for the other eight sides in Tbilisi. The times and locations will be announced in due course.

Media are asked to fill out all fields for each individual accreditation form (if more than one) and make sure to check the preferred accreditation pickup point (Tbilisi or Kutaisi). For accreditation enquiries or questions regarding the venues in Georgia, please contact Alexandre Ujmajuridze at the Georgian Rugby Union or For all other enquiries please contact World Rugby Tournament Communications Manager, Eoin McHugh:
