Defence Force Shoots Down Police Again

For the sixth consecutive year, Defence Force Rugby Team has defeated the Police Rugby Section in the Interservices Cup rugby match, thereby taking consecutive hold of the Brigadier’s Cup and the Trinidad & Tobago Interservices Cup. Defence Force dominated the game from the start, which was played at the Exiles Rugby Youth Club’s ground in Gasparillo on Saturday, October 14, 2017, ending with a 62-12 victory.

Coach, Verne Ross, a founding member of the Police Rugby Section was distraught and disappointed at the end of the match, as he thought that his charges were properly prepared for this encounter.

The summarized scores for the past weekend, in the Women’s League, include the rampant Police Rugby Section being held 17-17 by a resurgent Royalians RFC unit on Saturday and Tobago RFC /U.W.I. RFC defeating The Harvard Club, 34-26 on Sunday, October 15, 2017.

In the Men’s Championship Division League on Saturday, Caribs RFC won their match against Tobago/U.W.I. by default while Trinidad Northern RFC beat Royalians RFC, 28-15.
