The local rugby derby between Caribs Rugby Football Club and Stag Trinidad Northern Rugby Football Club will be played on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at the President’s Grounds in St. Ann’s from 2:00 p.m.
Caribs RFC and Stag Trinidad Northern RFC are the two oldest clubs in Trinidad & Tobago Rugby. Both clubs will go up against each other tomorrow afternoon for the Raffe Hosein and Bruno Browne Cups.
This double header is recognised as the blue ribbon event of the rugby season and is a “Must See”. The annual showpiece has evolved from a bitter rivalry to a well-organised event showcasing these two clubs.
Over the years, the win loss ratio has been very tight and another evenly contested fixture is expected this weekend.
Both Clubs will contest the Raffe Hosein Cup at 2:00 p.m., followed by the Bruno Browne Cup at 4:00 p.m.
