In its mandate to spread the game of rugby throughout Trinidad & Tobago, the Trinidad & Tobago Rugby Football Union (TTRFU) in collaboration with the Rainbow Sports & Cultural Club (RSCC) will host a Youth Rugby Festival at the Marac Recreation Ground in Moruga, on Saturday, May 26, 2018.
The festival is designed primarily for youth teams, both male and female, but Rudolph Jack, President of RSCC has extended invitations to all rugby clubs in Trinidad & Tobago to be part of the festival to showcase the game of rugby to the people of Moruga and environs.
Mr. Jack has been doing a lot of developmental work in the southern region of Trinidad & Tobago and said that it would be nice for the senior teams to come and showcase the sport of rugby at the elite level in the country.
It is expected that members of the Moruga community and surrounding districts will come out in their numbers to get the rugby experience and a better awareness of the sport.
The festival is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
