USA Rugby South (USARS) Panthers are in Trinidad and Tobago to challenge not one, but TWO of our National Rugby Teams.
The Men’s Under 23 and Senior Rugby 15s Teams will face off in a double header at the Queen’s Park Savannah, Port-of-Spain on Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 2:00 p.m.
The last time the Trinidad and Tobago Senior Men’s National 15s Team faced off against USA Rugby South at St. Mary’s College Grounds, in Trinidad, the home team triumphed over the visiting team in the last minute of the game. This year the T&T and USARS have already competed in two divisions, Under 19 Men’s and Women’s Rugby 15s. Saturday’s matches will double that, adding Under 23 and Senior Men’s Rugby 15s to the list.
USARS consistently participate in RAN tournaments, where they are known to dominate. Returning to the Senior Men’s Competition and adding the Under 23 Division is a testament to the commitment to the developmental contributions of both the Trinidad and Tobago Rugby Union and the USA Rugby South Panthers.
This event is aptly timed ahead of the Rugby World Cup 2023, hosted throughout September and October 2023 across France. The TTRU and the Embassy of France are excited to promote local Rugby 15s ahead of and during the global event in France.
